Major labels now call for AI-assisted music to be substantially human before it's treated as a signed or promoted work, and streaming platforms are moving toward requiring a substantially human share of authorship for AI-assisted tracks — affecting playlist placement, monetization eligibility, and label interest. Registry & signing
The Veridem Authorship Registry & cryptographic signing
Every finalized MHAIX certificate is automatically registered with the central Veridem Authorship Registry — a shared verification database used across all Veridem products (MHAIX, Stem:Ample, Re:Writ, Compose:EP). At the moment you finalize, the app calls the registry, receives a unique registry ID, and embeds it into the certificate along with a scannable QR code that links to a public verification page. Anyone holding the PDF can scan the QR to confirm the certificate exists in the registry and matches what's on the page.
At finalization the certificate payload is also hashed and signed with a freshly-generated Ed25519 keypair. The signature and the public key are embedded in the certificate itself, and a short signing key fingerprint is printed on the document so it can be visually cross-checked. This proves the certificate hasn't been altered after issuance — any tampered copy will fail signature verification.
Certify a full release
An EP or album can be certified as a release. Every track still gets its own full D1–D9 certification and certificate, while the release adds one group summary.
